The nine-hole golf course at the Tathra Beach Country Club rates among one of the prettiest in Australia as it hugs the banks of the beautiful Bega River. The bird life is prolific in the Andy Poole Drive Course and you are bound to have an audience of kangaroos. The course has nine grass greens and seventeen tees which adds much interest to your game.Measuring 5632 metres, this unique course has featured in golf magazines where it has been identified as one of the best 9 hole courses in Australia. The greens are superb, as anyone who has played the course can attest. The sandy soil is a big asset; it combined with the greenkeepers’expertise ensures the course is in tip top condition. You can hire clubs from the clubhouse and buy balls and tees there. It’s a good idea to check with the club before you book a game because of competition days. On Tuesday and Thursday mornings the course is closed to the public until 1pm and on Saturday until 3pm.
